Meanwhile U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo recently announced a formal rejection of the U.S. stance of not taking sides on the maritime disputes in the South China Sea, accusing Beijing of conducting a “campaign of bullying.” Why exactly is the U.S. ramping up its military activities?
